Several people have asked what exactly is an Empennage? The answer is simple. Everything you see at the tail section of the plane is considered the empenage. It consists of the horizontal stabilizer, vertical stabilizer, rudder and elevators. This page will have photos of the construction process for each part. Click any photo to start the slide show.
